about kelsi navalta

hey, nice to meet ya!

I feel so incredibly odd writing a bio section about... myself???

And after reading the bios of some of my colleagues, role models, and celebrities, I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.

This is where all the important stuff about "Kelsi Navalta is supposed to go, right?

The stuff really important to me: I have a younger brother who means the absolute world to me. His name is Kameron and he's one of my favorite all-time-humans. He's driven and honest and capable of anything he puts his mind to, and I know if I talk too highly of him on my about page he'd get sheepish, so we're gonna keep this short. He's sweet. Whenever we're travelling, he helps me find plant-based restaurants and always reassures me that my dietary restrictions are easy to accommodate. Among his many accolades, he's incredible at reading the stock market and my stock portfolio has grown significantly because of it. The nuances in the financial market tend to allude me so I'm just really lucky to have him. I love him dearly and I'm excited to see how our relationship will continue to evolve as we grow older.

I'm blessed with the two most caring parents in the entire world. They're endlessly supportive of my ever-changing ideas and hobbies and have always encouraged me to speak my mind.

My dad has a huge green thumb so, whenever I'm home, we eat the tomatoes and figs that he's grown as soon as they're ripe. He always makes sure the fridge is stocked with my fave snacks and always answers my phone calls, even if it's at 4 in the morning. My mom is the person who first encouraged me to live a more sustainable life; she's constantly taking steps to lower her environmental impact and (whether I want to admit it or not), she's a lot better at reducing her carbon footprint overall than I am. She's passionate, fierce, and wildly empowering; the most beautiful of role models that I could've ever asked for.

And regarding my career... I would still say that I'm pretty new to the digital marketing space. For my work-related background, I graduated from the University of the Pacific in 2018 where I got my Bachelors of Science in Biology with a concentration in Law. I was Chief Recruitment Officer for my sorority, I had experience in sales from a college job, and I loved marketing, but I wasn't sure if it was the right path for me. Life decided to take me on a roller coaster and, long story short, I ended up realizing that I should focus on making digital marketing into my full-time career.

While developing my skills, I read a marketing book every other week, listened to one podcast a day, and went to a networking event at least once per week. I finally found a company that saw and believed in my potential and, after working my way up, I'm proud to say that I've made it to a place that I feel like I can actually thrive *tearing up emoji*

I'm now the Affiliate Manager for a Digital Marketing Company, Highlevel (also referred to as GoHighLevel) and I couldn't be happier. I have a supportive team, constant opportunities to grow, and I'm constantly learning more about my abilities and the ways I can continually push myself to innovate and evolve.

In my free time, I'm usually found on adventures of all sizes. Traveling around the world, visiting small bookstores, trying my hand at culinary dishes, those kinds of things. I've recently begun recording my growth as an affiliate for other companies, just as a way to stay accountable and be transparent about what the process is like. My goals for the future include paying all of my student debt and taking my parents on a dream vacation so stay tuned for all of that :)

And... yeah, that's me. At least the me that I feel like including in an About page, haha.

The stuff really important to me: I'm not an only child; I have a younger brother who's incredibly tall and always reminds me to relax whenever I'm on vacation. He's really good at basketball and reading the stock market, so by association, I'm an incredibly passionate Warriors fan and I somehow managed to grow my stock portfolio a lot bigger than I feel like I should have. I want to say that it's somewhat magical, but that'd be discounting all of the analysis that he does so.... I guess I'm just lucky to have him.
